almost the end of the week. finally can get some rest or sleep. cant wait for the weekends. yea!!!. this week had a lot of friends finally got back to DBT 3A/22 lol. this weeks lesson wasn't as bad as i thought i knew what the teacher was saying but i always got the sleeping feeling. especially in Dr Sim class. maybe i hate maybe i dont lol, her lessons are super boring. but enjoyed oral communication. the lecturer was entertaining us lol. we came to class and we had to introduce our names, what we wanted to be called, 3 interesting things about myself, what we wish we had, and what to expect about the module. i came to class late lol cause i overslept, i was still in bed at 7.05 when my lesson started at 8 lol. luckily my mp3 was entertaining me on the train. when i entered the class, i was totally blur i didnt know what to do. than my class mate called my name. so i had to introduce myself. told the class and the lecturer that my name was arnold, i also told them to call me "nerd" dont know why the class laughed at me. than i told the class interesting about myself, i am "Nerd" but i am not nerd, i dont like to study, than they start laughing at me again lol. wierld sia. lol told them i am tall also... : )
After introduction, the lecturer introduced herself. she said she was part of a group that climbed a south africa mountain. they had climbed to the mid point when this freak weather came along. they were stuck there without rescue or food. in their group, there were 2 elderly, they died while trying to survive the freak weather. they had no food so they had to cut up elderly thigh and stomach area in order to survive. they were rescued after the weather calmed down. than here comes the fun part. she told the class that because of the slow birth rate in singapore. all students from singapore poly had to pair up(find boyfriend/girlfriend) before graduating. she was so convincing. she told us to split into 2 sides. 1 side for those that are single, the other side was those who are already attached. lol i belong to the single side lol. she told us that next week we had to meet business class for a speed dating. we had 5 minutes to talk to another girl/guy before moving to another person. lol i was like WHAT THE F***. i think i wasnt the only one, the whole class also WHAT the F***. than she said on week 5, 10 and 13 we had to go for dates individually lol. she also told us that singapore poly will give $50/person/date lol. we were like what the TOOT. is it real!!! she said the money would cover transpotr food and even movies. i was like blur... she also said whoever already had a partner have to give us the contact of the other partner to confirm they are together. she say those who are attached can opt out of the module and do other things(assays or something). writing assay sux, i rather go for the speed dating(although i shy lol). she said whoever is single can also opt out, but they had a few weeks to find a partner. i was like oh ok so if i find a partner i dont need to go speed dating. i was like shit, who should i ask, die i not even close to any one lol except somebody in my FYP group(dont wan to say name, i damn paiseh at that time my mind really turned blank, dont know who to ask, hope that person dont mind lol).
back to my lesson. my lecturer was so convincing lol. but than we turn out that we kenna pranked by her. she said that was communication. her tone, her expression, her coolness. all of it tricked us lol. i was like so relieved lol. but it was cool la first lesson so interesting, better than start with lessons, we had so much fun.
FYP, we are getting better. told u last time that the results are waiting for us. it was truely waiting for us. cant say that we are the most hardworking group in BioTech. but i can say we did the best we could. lucky for us, we had help from WS's friend. whom did a similar project. we followed theirs and we had results. we were delighted. so delighted that we called our lecturer immidiately after getting the result. super cool la. now evertime we wanted results, it will show. but it is not the end yet, we had to do another step in order to complete. but my FYP mate has problems. we couldn't make a complete run for nearly 3 weeks. but i dont blame him, his father's in hospital & he is sick, can't really blame him. but we have to start soon, we have to stop the work in a few weeks time. not much time we still have to chiong even though our school have started. what to do, final year liao must chiong. but hor i wan to complain, they damn messy, never help me clear up. pipette never put back properly, book on the table ah, empty pipette tips never put one side of the table ah, the lab table was like my room, so messy lol. they pang seh me lol. but aiya they busy so nvm la anyway i go home is to go youtube or listen to song or blog only, i got time lol. but shiok cant wait for FYP to be over.
my family planned to have a pet for very long. ever since my sister came across an advertisement selling puppies. but everytime my sister ask me, i told her that we are not prepared yet. but this time, we really intend to get a pet dog. lol we love dog. my mom dont mind, my dad say anything as long as it is well behaved if not he will cane the dog, for me i am alright as long as it is not long haired and can accompany me go jogging( i dont wan short leg ones), that was my criteria. planning for the dog damn ma fan, must find a place to put the dog when we are all not around. you cant expect me to put the dog at my grandmother's house. she will scream in TeoChew. lol i can't imagine her facial expression when she screams haha :P
but we have to name it first lol i was thinking of calling it nerd but i think it's quite stupid lol. my sis wanted to call stupid names but i think it is not suitable for the dog. than i thought of toto lol. ya u saw that clearly "TOTO" lol. u think i wan to call 4D ah wait long long lol. i think my sis and my dad kind of like the name lol. cant wait to ask my mom. if she approves, we will go buy "TOTO" soon lol.
